FAQs

Where can I go for physical therapy?
Patients always have a choice where they receive their healthcare. Other healthcare providers may recommend that you go to a certain physical therapy clinic, but ultimately it is your choice.

Do I Need a Referral/Prescription From My Doctor?
Florida is a state with DIRECT ACCESS, meaning you can be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist for up to 21 days without a physician’s referral/prescription.

All MEDICARE patients are required to have their physical therapy plan of care signed by their physician within 30 days of the start of physical therapy, but a specific referral from their physician to get started is not required.

Not all PRIVATE INSURANCE companies require a prescription. It is important to remember that all health plans are different, and to ensure that you receive coverage according to your plan, you need to call your insurance company to verify. Our staff will also call to verify benefit coverage for you as a courtesy, but we are not responsible if they provide us with incorrect information.

We look forward to serving you!
