Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
What is BPPV? Many times you or someone you know has been diagnosed with BPPV. It is one of the most common diagnosis of vertigo and is characterized by the sudden onset of dizziness with a feeling of suddenly falling or spinning in the head. Symptoms are usually triggered by sudden changes in head position such as lying down, looking down/up, etc. This type of dizziness can be fixed in 1 or 2 visits to the Doctor of Physical Therapy.
